PROGRAM

The training is structured into modules. Each module addresses different aspects of plastics engineering. A couple of modules will be addressed each day, giving you time to really absorb and reflect. You will understand the basics of how to design feasible concepts & manufacturable plastic parts of high quality.

DAY 1

PLASTICS ENGINEER – Development of plastic parts is balancing the requirements at its right value.

MATERIALS – Choosing the right plastic is dealing (and living) with compromises.

PART DESIGN – Part design and the intended function (like strength) can be calculated, but “the proof of the pudding is in the eating”. Testing under correct circumstances is the only way to guarantee its function.

DAY 2

PRODUCTION – The injection moulding process is a fragile balance between material, mould, machine, the process settings and the required results.

MOULDS – Find the right balance between investment, complexity and vulnerability of mould, parts and final product price.

QUALITY – Quality is subject to expectations and found evidence, all unique parts are slightly different, we must specify what is acceptable to us and what not.

DAY 3

DECORATION – Decoration techniques are continuously developing. Every step or treatment has its (cost) price! Take all of this into account and beautiful new products can be designed.

SPECIALS – Extreme demands need extreme solutions.

WHAT CAN GO WRONG – Quality issues and possible ways to prevent them.

HANDS-ON AT THE MOULDING MACHINE – Meet our specialists!

PEZY specialises in designing, developing and manufacturing plastic components for consumer products. Building on 30 years of experience, our leading plastic specialists provide an exclusive training course where they share knowledge, practical tips & tricks, and experience in dealing with the engineering of plastic components.
