Clay: from digital access solution to hardware in eight months
Clay wanted to manage building access remotely, without physical keys. PEZY designed and manufactured the hardware that made this digital service possible. The first product reached the market within eight months.

Digital access needs physical products
Clay wanted to connect electronically controlled doors wirelessly and enable keyless access.
Administrators needed to manage access to buildings, individual rooms and homes remotely. To introduce that digital service a complete hardware solution was required.

PEZY designed and manufactured the hardware for the first Clay product.
Our contribution went beyond the product enclosures: we also developed solutions for the app interface, packaging and materials to demonstrate and present the product.

Preparing product and launch together
We developed the physical products and the supporting materials within the same project.
In addition to the hardware, demonstration kits, brochures and trade fair materials were part of the brief. This also gave Clay the means to show customers how the new service works.

Keyless access that can be managed remotely
The hardware supported a system that allowed doors to be connected wirelessly and access rights to be managed remotely.
The product brought the digital service to the place where access is actually granted: the door.

To market in eight months
Clay was able to bring the first product to market within eight months.
PEZY delivered both the hardware design and the production. The original case describes the brand as the forerunner of Salto KS; the project demonstrates how physical product development can help introduce a digital service.
