Enhanced Comfort Through Technology
How can we offer a more pleasant experience during breast milk pumping? By creating greater comfort, ease, and tranquility during use. The goal for the Philips Avent breast pump was to make the pumping process quieter and less stressful.
To achieve these improvements, the mechanical pump in the Philips design was made quieter through the clever application of a TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) suspension for the motor. Additionally, comfort was enhanced by using skin-friendly and tactile-friendly materials. To ensure these solutions met strict product specifications, we created test parts and used Moldflow software to analyze and optimize the critical components. Once the product design was completed, we successfully managed the production start-up at Philips’ factory in China.
